Members of the WTC Kershaw County FFA Chapter traveled to Piedmont Technical College to compete in the State Veterinary Science Career Development Event on November 16, 2024.
At the May 7 Board of Trustees Meeting, the Kershaw County School District Board of Trustees approved Melinda Johnson as the new principal of Jackson School and Meredith Kirkland as assistant director of Woolard Technology Center (WTC.) Johnson replaces Estelle Benson, who is retiring at the end of the 2023-2024 school year, and Kirkland replaces Rose Montgomery, who is now the Camden High School principal.
WTC Kershaw County FFA was recognized as a Gold Emblem chapter for South Carolina. Gold Emblem chapters are in the top 10% of programs in the State of South Carolina.
Welding students, Abbigail Rizzo and Cole Shirley, placed 2nd and 4th in the American Welding Society Skills Welding Competition at Midlands Technical College.
This year five WTC students signed letters of intent accepting full time jobs with local companies after graduation this spring.
May 24, 2023 - All students in Kershaw County School District will receive free breakfast and lunch during the 2023-2024 school year as part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program.
